Idea Inception

The inception of MOGO was rooted in the idea of educating the music industry, especially Indie artists, about the power of blockchain technology. Gas Fees for Blockchain Transactions

The high gas fees for each blockchain transaction made it difficult for indie artists to use the app. This was especially challenging since the app aimed to raise awareness about blockchain technology among indie artists.
We switched from Ethereum to Binance Smart Chain (BNB), which drastically reduced the gas fees for each transaction. Additionally, we incentivized the artists to stay on the platform by monetizing their accounts with Mogo tokens.

Storage of NFTs

Storing the NFTs posed a challenge as we needed a reliable and cost-effective storage solution that would ensure that the NFTs remained available even if the app was suspended.
We utilized the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) for NFT storage. This decentralized file system ensured the safety and security of NFTs and provided a cost-effective solution for long-term storage.

User Engagement

Encouraging user engagement was challenging since the app aimed to cater to both aspiring and established musicians. Additionally, users needed to be incentivized to take certain actions within the app.
We provided users with rewards for their actions within the app, such as liking songs and subscribing to artists. This incentivization strategy helped drive user engagement, which resulted in increased user retention.

Platform Compatibility

Ensuring platform compatibility was challenging since the app needed to work on both Android and iOS devices, as well as the artist web panel and admin panel.
We utilized Flutter for the user app, which provided a native experience on both Android and iOS devices. For the artist web panel and admin panel, we used React JS, which ensured platform compatibility and seamless communication between the different components of the app.

Revenue Model

Creating a transparent revenue model was challenging since we needed to ensure that the artists received a fair share of the revenue generated from their content.
We developed a revenue model that ensured that the artists received a fair share of the revenue generated from their content. The model was transparent, which ensured that the artists were aware of their earnings at all times. Additionally, we provided featured artist functions to increase the artists’ visibility and popularity among users, which helped drive their revenue.
